Check your schedule for the start date. Canvas courses will become visible to students at midnight on the first official day of class every semester. The courses may appear on your Dashboard and be listed under Upcoming Courses two weeks before the course is available to enter. If you do not see your courses in Canvas after the first day of class, please contact the help Desk at (208)769-3280 or helpdesk@nic.edu.

Immediately. Students are added to Canvas within a few minutes of adding or dropping a class in self-service. If you do not see your class in Canvas within 15 minutes after registering, please contact the Help Desk at (208)769-3280 or helpdesk@nic.edu.

Yes, there is a free app available on both Android and iOS devices. The free app is available for download in the Google Play Store and the iTunes App Store. In the search area type in "Canvas Student." 

When you start the app for the first time, you will need to enter North Idaho College's name as the campus. NIC's Canvas URL is https://nic.instructure.com/. However, once you have entered the name in one app, Canvas will remember your login in every app and you will not have to login again. The Office of eLearning provides an online, self-paced Canvas Essentials for Students training course.
