NIC Foundation Scholarships

The North Idaho College Financial Aid Office and North Idaho College Foundation are committed to assisting students in paying for their education while assuming as little debt as possible. The NIC Foundation proudly provides approximately $900,000 in scholarship funding each academic year! All students are encouraged to apply as there are hundreds of opportunities available that are based on more than just a good GPA and resume. 

Apply for  NIC Foundation Scholarships through your MyNIC Account!

Go to www.nic.edu/mynic and log in to your MYNIC account. Click on “NIC Foundation Scholarship Application” under Bookmarks. Enter basic information on the scholarship application and complete the essay. You will automatically be matched to scholarship opportunities you may be eligible to receive.

The following scholarships require additional application material. Over $22,000 is available through these opportunities so we encourage you upload your application material right away!


North Idaho College Alumni Association Scholarship
DUE DATE: April 7, 201
7

Criteria:
• Plan to register full time for academic year 2017-18
• 2.85 GPA
• Hold sophomore status in Fall semester of 2017
Submit:
• One-page essay on how a scholarship will help you achieve your goals
• A letter of reference from an NIC Instructor

Coeur d'Alene Rotary Scholarship
DUE DATE: April 21, 2017

Criteria:
• Kootenai County Resident
• Demonstrated financial need
• 3.0 GPA
Submit:
• Coeur d'Alene Rotary form (found under the scholarship opportunity)
• One-page essay describing your background, educational and career goals, and circumstances that demonstrate your financial need for scholarship assistance
• Reference letter from an instructor, counselor or school administrator
• A resume identifying your education background, work history and community activities

Roy and Leona Nelson Foundation Scholarship
DUE DATE: May 26, 2017

Criteria:
• Plan to register full time for academic year 2017-18
• 3.0 GPA
• Must be a graduate from an eastern Washington or northern Idaho high school
• Must complete a FAFSA
Submit:
• Financial Statement and Release of Information form (found under the scholarship opportunity)
• One-page essay describing your background, educational and career goals, and circumstances that demonstrate your financial need for scholarship assistance
• Reference letter from an instructor, counselor or school administrator
• A copy of your college transcript, or high school transcript if you are an incoming freshman
