NIC Golf Invitational in full swing Oct. 11-12

The public is invited to the 6th annual North Idaho College Golf Invitational Oct. 11-12 at Avondale Golf Course in Hayden. The tournament has a 9 a.m. shotgun start both Sunday and Monday.

The Cardinals are coming off of a season-opening third-place finish for the men’s team and second-place finish for the women’s team at the Centralia Invitational Sept. 27-28. NIC looks to finish strong again this weekend playing on their home course. Standouts on the men’s team looking to take the individual title this weekend are Luke Logan and Brayden Swapp. On the women’s team, Nicole Miller could finish as a medalist, coming off of a third-place individual finish at Centralia.

Six Northwest Athletic Conference teams will be competing alongside the Cardinals this weekend: Spokane, Grey’s Harbor, Skagit Valley, Olympic, Columbia Basin, and Southwestern Oregon. In addition, Lewis and Clark State College, Minot State, and individuals from the University of Idaho and Washington State University will be competing as well.
