Students learn jazz from masters at NIC

About 600 middle and high school students from school in North Idaho and Eastern Washington learned about jazz performance from North Idaho College’s special guests Dan Bukvich, Gary Gemberling and Al Gemberling this week as part of the college’s annual JazzNIC. The schools participated in clinics Feb. 1-3 with a special concert open to the public on Feb. 2. Pictured is Bukvich (far left), Lewis Clark High School Director Dan Nord (middle), and Al Gemberling (right) instructing that school’s students Wednesday.
