NIC students earn state business awards

Four North Idaho College students qualified to compete at the national level by achieving top placement in business-related events at the recent state Business Professionals of America (BPA) competition in Boise recently. 

NIC students competed with university and college students from across the state in business competitions through BPA, a national organization for high school and college students preparing for careers in business and technical fields. 

The following are the award recipients who qualified for the national leadership conference and competition in Boston in May.

LaCheale Linscott, from Sagle, first place in Fundamental Word Processing, second place in Basic Office Systems and Procedures and third place in Integrated Office Applications.

Amber Lehmann, from Post Falls, first place in Fundamental Spreadsheet Applications and fifth place in Fundamental Word Processing.

Patrick Buffington, from Coeur d'Alene, third place in PC Servicing and Troubleshooting.

Kayla Lyons, from Coeur d’Alene, fourth place in Fundamental Word Processing.
