Communication need? We have a solution!

We're all communicating with various audiences every day, and with recruitment and retention at the forefront of the institution's goals for the coming academic year, departments campuswide will be planning communication strategies.

The NIC Communications and Marketing Office is here to help you identify how best to communicate with the various groups you need to keep in touch with, from current students to prospects to parents. We work closely with Information Technology and Enrollment Services to develop a strategy that will yield the results you're hoping for, from email communications, to text messaging, postal mail, social media, fliers, advertising, and more. All official communication channels are managed by NIC Communications and Marketing and we can not only help you get your messages out, but also work with you to avoid pitfalls such as using Microsoft Outlook for messaging large groups, which can get NIC blacklisted as a spammer. Using a consistent tone, look, and feel in communications will also ensure that NIC is speaking to students in the same voice and from the same brand, no matter what department is communicating. Using templates developed for Microsoft Outlook email signatures and Communications Management emails in Colleague can help you take the guesswork out of official communications and ensure adherence to the college branding guidelines.

Let us know your needs and we'll work with you to develop a plan!
