Lake City HS soccer coach to speak at NIC Booster Luncheon

Matt Ruchti, Lake City High School soccer coach, will be the guest speaker at the North Idaho College Booster Club Luncheon at noon Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the Outback Steakhouse in Coeur d’Alene.

Ruchti has been the girls’ varsity head coach at Lake City High School since 2003 and won the state title this year, 2016, as well as 2012. Ruchti has coached Sting Soccer since 2002, is the club’s assistant director of Coaching, and currently coaches U13 Boys. Since becoming a Sting coach, he has led five teams to the state finals including the 2010 U18 Boys’ state Champions. He’s taken three teams to Far West Regionals, and in 2007, he coached U17 Boys to the US Club Regional Championship and the team advanced to nationals.

The public is welcome to attend the luncheon. The NIC Booster Club meets on the second and last Tuesday of the month at noon.
