NIC collision repair tech students earn national, state honors


NIC Collision Repair Technology student Jacob Jasso (left) recently placed nationally in the Automotive Refinishing competition at the SkillsUSA nationals. North Idaho College student Jacob Jasso, of Coeur d’Alene, took a 14th place finish in the nation in the Automotive Refinishing competition at the SkillsUSA nationals in Louisville, Kentucky recently.

Jasso was one of two students in NIC’s Collision Repair Technology program who took home medals in the SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference held in Nampa, Idaho, in April. At the state competition:

Willie Winget, of Ponderay, Idaho earned a Bronze Medal in the Collision Repair competition.

Jasso earned a Gold Medal in the Automotive Refinishing competition.
