‘Saints, Savages and Sales' art exhibit to show in the NIC Corner Gallery


Washington-based artist Tony Dattilo will exhibit his artwork entitled “Saints, Savages and Sales” in the Boswell Hall Corner Gallery at North Idaho College from Sept. 11 to Oct. 20.

Dattilo will host a gallery walk of his work at 11 a.m., followed by a slide lecture at 4 p.m. in Boswell Hall Room 146, and an opening reception in the gallery from 5 to 7 p.m. – all  on Monday, Sept. 11.

Dattilo is an educator, musician, sculptor and painter living in the small town of Indianola, Washington with his son Lucca, wife Bridget and “a lot of critters,” he said. He has worked in a variety of mediums including video, performance, installation/happening, painting, sculpture and public access television. His undergraduate work was done at Tyler School of Art and he received a master’s degree from Vermont College of Fine Art. He has been represented by CORE gallery in Seattle since 2012 and is working on his new sculpture/happening: “Club-Club.” 

The Corner Gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday. Admission to the gallery is free.
