NIC to offer software developer boot camp in Post Falls

The North Idaho College Workforce Training Center is partnering with Devtree Academy to offer a new Software Development Immersive Course May 29 – Aug. 17.

In this software boot camp, participants will learn to code and launch their careers through three key elements of learning: group lectures, project-based coursework, and pair programming. They will learn the fundamentals of software development and then progress into more advanced engineering topics.  Topics to be taught include JavaScript, Node.js, React, React-Native, RethinkDB, Hapi, HTML5, CSS3, Git, Bash, AWS, and Agile, among others.

Devtree Academy is a nationally recognized software developer academy and the only one of its kind in North Idaho and the Eastern Washington regions. A feature unique to the academy is that each student will have completed a professional portfolio of individual and group projects to present to potential employers at the end of the course.

Registration is now open for the course that begins on May 29. Classes will run M-F from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. until Aug. 17 and will be held at the Workforce Training Center in Post Falls.
