Former volleyball standout Allen Allen to speak to NIC Boosters

Allen Allen, a former member of the USA Men’s Volleyball Team, will be the guest speaker at the NIC Booster Club Luncheon at noon Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the Outback Steakhouse in Coeur d’Alene.

Allen was a three-time All American volleyball player at the University of Hawaii from 1986-1989 before being selected to the USA National Men’s Volleyball Team from 1989-1992.  After his experience with the national team, Allen became a professional beach volleyball player from 1992-1998. Allen turned to coaching at the end of his playing career and was the head coach at Alliant University in San Diego from 2001-2003. He also served as an assistant coach for Gonzaga University’s women’s volleyball team from 2009-2014. He is currently the assistant director for the Cats Junior Volleyball Club in Spokane.

The public is welcome to attend the luncheon. The NIC Booster Club meets on the second and last Tuesday of each month at noon at various locations in the community. Check out the NIC Athletics Department website for more details at or contact the NIC Athletics Office at (208) 769-3348.
