Softball player named to NJCAA Academic All-American Team

North Idaho College softball player Jill Oglesbee was recently named to the National Junior College Athletic Association 2003-2004 Academic All-American Team, which honors athletes for maintaining a 3.6 GPA or higher. Oglesbee, a third baseman from Spokane and a graduate of University High School, maintained a 3.67 GPA during the 2003-2004 school year. She was also a two-time selection to the Region 18 Scenic West Athletic Conference All-Region First Team and was named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-American Scholar Athlete during the 2002-2003 season. Oglesbee graduated from NIC in May and plans to attend Eastern Washington University in the fall to study pre-veterinary medicine.
