NIC presents outdoor film festival

North Idaho College will present an outdoor film festival Sept. 17 featuring a series of short and feature-length films from the Mountain Film Festival. The program showcases animations, cultural documentaries and adventure films woven into the presentation on tour from the Mountain Film Festival, which is presented in Telluride, Colo., every Memorial Day weekend. The event also includes live music by local folk band Ashbury Park, concessions and outdoor equipment rentals. The music will begin at 6 p.m. followed by the start of the film at dark. This is an outdoor film, so attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Admission is free with a canned food donation. Information: 769-7809.
