NIC to hold information sessions for LPNs seeking RN degree

North Idaho College's Health Professions and Nursing Division will host two separate informational sessions for current licensed practical nurses interested in advanced placement in NIC's Registered Nursing program. The informational sessions will be at noon Wednesday, Sept. 8 and at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9 in Winton Hall Room 11 on NIC's main campus. To be eligible to apply for advanced placement to the Registered Nursing program, licensed practical nurses must have received their education from an accredited institution, passed the National Council Licensure Examination and worked for at least six months. Applicants must also have completed all the prerequisites for NIC's Registered Nursing program. All licensed practical nurses interested in earning a registered nursing degree are encouraged to attend to learn more about the admissions process and what credits they can receive toward their registered nursing degree based on previous education. Registration is not required to attend either of the informational sessions. Information: (208) 769-3481.
