NIC Foundation selects new board officers for 2004-2005

|photo1|The North Idaho College Foundation Board of Directors recently selected its officers for the 2004-2005 academic year. Dick Sams will serve as NIC Foundation board president. Sams has spent the past eight years at the Coeur d'Alene branch of Wells Fargo Bank as the North Idaho community banking president. He also serves as one of the tri-chairs of the NIC Foundation's Providing Opportunities—Fulfilling Dreams Community Campaign. The immediate past president is Sue Thilo, who also serves on the Idaho State Board of Education, chairs the Special Gifts Division of the capital campaign. Jim Thorpe will serve as the vice president/president elect of the board. Thorpe has been an NIC Foundation board member since 1999 and is the president of Thorco, Inc., a commercial and industrial electrical construction company in Coeur d'Alene. NIC President Michael Burke serves as the NIC Foundation board secretary, a position always filled by the college president according to the board's bylaws. Board Treasurer Rick Maxey has been a board member since 1991 and is president of Magnuson, McHugh and Company, P.A.
