NIC soccer players earn academic honors

Two North Idaho College soccer players have been selected to the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges All-Academic Team. Forward Michael Wold of the NIC men's soccer team was selected to the NWAACC All-Academic Team with a 3.29 GPA. Wold is a former home school student from Clark Fork, Idaho, majoring in history at NIC. AshLee Strong of the women's team was selected to the All-Academic Team with a 3.43 GPA. Strong graduated from Skyview High School in Billings, Mont. She is majoring in political science at NIC. Athletes selected to the NWAACC All-Academic Team must be sophomores with a minimum of 36 credits earned, have a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA and receive a recommendation from their college.
