NIC to present Warren Miller's ski and snowboard film 'Impact'

If you missed the Spokane showing of this year's Warren Miller film, here's your second chance. North Idaho College's Snowriders Club will present the 55th annual winter sports film from Warren Miller Entertainment titled “Impact” at NIC Wednesday, Dec. 1. “Impact” showcases winter sports' top athletes and local heroes on the big screen as they travel to exotic locations around the globe in search of the perfect ride. This film will also highlight other elements of Warren Miller film's on the company's 55th anniversary, including winter sports women, the cameramen who ride just as extreme as the athletes when capturing film, some of the many hopeful athletes who apply to Warren Miller Entertainment as well as the more extreme athletes. The movie will also outline the history of winter and action sports filmmaking as the man who pioneered action sports cinematography celebrates his own 80th birthday. The film will begin at 7 p.m. in Boswell Hall's Schuler Auditorium. Tickets are $14 for adults and $10 for NIC students, senior citizens and those 17 and younger.
