NIC softball player named All-American scholar-athlete

Former North Idaho College softball player Jill Oglesbee was recently named as an All-American Scholar-Athlete for the 2003-2004 season by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. Oglesbee received the award in the junior college division for earning a 3.5 GPA or higher. Oglesbee, a graduate of University High School in Spokane, played for NIC from 2002 to 2004. She maintained a 3.67 GPA during the 2003-2004 school year earning recognition on the National Junior College Athletic Association 2003-2004 Academic All-American Team in July. Oglesbee was also a two-time selection to the Region 18 Scenic West Athletic Conference All-Region First Team and was named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-American Scholar Athlete during the 2002-2003 season as well. Oglesbee graduated from NIC in May and is currently attending Eastern Washington University studying veterinary medicine.
