NIC offers community education classes in the Silver Valley


North Idaho College will offer several community education courses in the Silver Valley this spring that are open to the general public. Each course costs $15 per person and will be offered at the new Silver Valley Center, located at 323 Main Street in Kellogg. Rod and C.J. Clugston of the Edward D. Jones and Company investment firm will teach the courses. Smart Women Finish Rich will be offered in one session from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17. This course teaches participants seven steps to achieving financial security. Long-Term Care: Issues and Answers is a one-session class offered from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 3. There will be no sales approach in this course, only information on the likelihood of needing long-term care as well as the cost and funding options. College Planning Strategies will be offered in one session from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 10. This class will show participants how to establish savings goals and explore financial aid options to plan for attending college. Smart Couples Finish Rich is a two-hour course offered at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 17. Couples and families will benefit from this class, which teaches couples how to invest in the future, plan for good and bad financial times and teach children about money. Introduction to Money Management will be offered in two sessions from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays April 21 and 28. Participants in this class will learn to invest intelligently and profitably by learning basic terms, options and creating an investment portfolio. Click here to register or call (208) 769-3333.
