Former women's basketball player to speak at NIC Booster Club lunch

Former North Idaho College women's basketball player Mandy Jacques will be the featured speaker at the North Idaho College Booster Club luncheon at noon Tuesday, Feb. 22 at Cricket's Steakhouse and Oyster Bar on Fifth and Sherman in Coeur d'Alene. Jacques played on the 1997 women's basketball team, the last to go to the NJCAA championship. Jacques attributes her basketball career with providing her a team-oriented attitude, one that helped her become the Coeur d'Alene Fire Department's first female firefighter. The NIC Booster Club holds its regular weekly meetings Tuesdays at noon in the Coeur d'Alene Resort's Shore Lounge. The meeting is held at a different location on the last Tuesday of the month and typically features a guest speaker. The public is welcome to attend any of the weekly meetings. Information: (208) 769-3348.
