NIC cheerleading tryouts held April 23

Men and women interested in trying out for the North Idaho College cheerleading squad must attend tryouts from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 23 in NIC's Christianson Gym.
All tryout material will be taught throughout the day, followed by tryouts at 3:30 p.m. and a mandatory meeting at 7 p.m.
Required stunts include toss shoulder stands, toss hands full downs and toss extension full downs. Female participants will be required to perform an original 8-8-count dance routine.
Each person trying out must bring proof of insurance and those younger than 18 must bring written permission from a parent or guardian.
A series of open gym stunting workshops will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. April 10, 17 and 21 in NIC's Christianson Gym. No tryout material will be taught during the workshops, as they are only intended to improve stunting skill.
Tryouts and workshops are free and open to those interested in participating on the NIC cheerleading squad.
