NIC soccer program signs recruits for 2005 season

Several athletes recently accepted scholarships to play North Idaho College soccer for the 2005 season.
Women's soccer recruits:
Kathleen Bagan
is a graduate of Lake City High School in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho who is transferring to NIC from Eastern Oregon University where she began her college career last year.
Hillary Boyden
, of Ferris High School in Spokane, Wash., was first team All-Region in the Greater Spokane League, a member of the Washington State Olympic Development Program team during its regional showing and a starter on the Spokane Shadow team that was the US Club national champion in 2004.
Makayla Desjarlais
, of Post Falls High School in Post Falls, Idaho, earned second team All-Region and most valuable player of her team in 2003 and 2004.
Katie Douglas
is a Lakeland High School graduate from Rathdrum, Idaho that went first team All-Region Inland Empire League and was the team captain for both her high school and club soccer teams.
Meghan Kahnle
, of Hamilton High School in Hamilton, Mont., was earned the honor of team most valuable player as a sophomore and honorable mention All-State during her high school career.
Kasey Knowles
is from Centennial High School in Boise and was team captain of her high school team in addition to playing on the state champion club team in U14 and U15 divisions.
Whitney Melton
, of Hamilton High School in Hamilton, Mont., held honors such as Academic All-State from 2002-2004, four-year letter winner and coach's award winner. Melton's teams finished first, second and third her last three years of high school.
Lacey Salisbury
, of Centennial High School in Boise, Idaho, played on a club team that won the state championship three times.
Shauna Sanders
was a four-year varsity starter on her Lakeland High School team in Rathdrum, Idaho.
Lara Wessman
went All-Conference in 2004 while playing on the Skyline High School soccer team in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Nicole Yeggy
played for the three-time state champion Centennial High School soccer team in Boise, Idaho. She was a four-year varsity player and a 2004 second team All-Conference player.
Brooke Donnelly
, of Sandpoint High School in Sandpoint, Idaho, was a three-year starter on the two-time state championship winning team. She also went second team All-State in 2004.
Men's soccer recruits:
Travis Jette
, of Sentinel High School in Missoula, Mont., was a four-year letterman and was on the All-Conference team in 2002 and 2003 in addition to being on the All-State team and team most valuable player in 2004. Jette was a part of the Montana Olympic Development Program from 1999-2004 and was a starter on four soccer club championship teams.
Jacob Sparks
was team captain and defensive player of the year on his Helena Capital High School Team in Helena, Mont., in 2004. He earned All-State honors in 2004, All-Conference honors in 2003 and was a starter for two-time club state champions the Helena Arsenal.
Alex Day
was a two-year starter and defensive most valuable player of his Lake City High School team in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Mike Vredenberg
, of Coeur d'Alene High School in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, was a first team pick to the All-League team for four straight years as well as a four-year letterman on his high school team.
