An evening at the theater just wouldn't be the same without the music.

 

The North Idaho College Symphonic Band is presenting its spring concert based on that premise with “An Evening at the Theater” Wednesday, April 13.

 

The concert will feature theater music, with each piece dedicated to a community organization devoted to the arts, such as the Richard Wagner piece “Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral” from Lohengrin dedicated to Opera Plus, the John Edmondson arrangement of “The Wonderful World of Disney” dedicated to Art on the Edge and John Williams' “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” dedicated to the music programs at area school districts.

 

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in NIC's Boswell Hall Schuler Auditorium. It is free and open to the public.
