NIC's Boesel named NJCAA second team All-American
NIC women's basketball player Boesel earns All-American honors
Second-year North Idaho College women's basketball player Jeni Boesel, of Brewster, Wash., received second team All-American honors after leading the Scenic West Athletic Conference in scoring and three-point shooting.
Boesel averaged 16.7 points per game and hit 72 three-point shots this season. Boesel has committed to play for Idaho State University next season and will sign her national letter of intent April 15.
“Jenny has been an outstanding team player to coach and we are very proud of her and thankful for what she has brought to the NIC basketball program,” said NIC women's basketball coach Chris Carlson.
Boesel transferred to NIC after playing for the University of Portland for one season. She played high school basketball for Brewster High School in Washington, leading her team to three state championships and earning 2,727 points during her career including a 29 points-per-game average her senior season.
