All-girl band Raining Jane to perform at NIC

The all-female band Raining Jane will perform at North Idaho College Thursday, April 21.
After a previous performance at the college, NIC's Student Events Committee decided to respond to student demand and bring the band back for another performance.
The rock-folk band is made up of guitarist and cellist Mai Bloomfield, guitarist Chaska Potter, drummer Mona Tavakoli and bassist/guitarist Becky Gebhardt. All four band members sing vocals.
Raining Jane, based in Los Angeles, has been performing for five years and has released two studio albums. In 2003, the band won third place out of 420 entries in the singer/songwriter competition “Acoustic Live” and was named as one of the “Hot 100 Unsigned Artists” by Music Connection Magazine.
The show will begin at 7 p.m. on the lower level of Edminster Student Union Building.
It is free and open to the public.
