North Idaho College President Michael Burke was recently elected to the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) board of directors.

 

|photo1|The board comprises 32 members, 26 of which are elected by the association's member colleges. The remaining six positions are filled by board appointments. Burke was elected by AACC member colleges and will serve a two-year term.

On the board, he will help support the AACC's mission to serve its member colleges through policy initiatives, innovative programs, research and strategic outreach.

The AACC is a national organization based in Washington, D.C. that represents nearly 1,200 community, junior and technical colleges.
