NIC volleyball program signs West Valley High School graduate

Lynnea Brown recently accepted a scholarship to play for the North Idaho College volleyball team for the 2005-2006 season.

Brown is a 5-foot-7-inch athlete from Yakima, Wash.

Brown was captain of the West Valley High School volleyball team her senior year and was voted most valuable player her junior and senior years. She earned All-State, All-Region and All-Mid-Valley League honors and was named the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association Seattle Times Player of the Week her senior year, when she led her team to a regional championship and fifth-place state finish.

She lettered all four years in volleyball and track and lettered her freshman year in basketball.

Brown plans to major in physical education at NIC.
