Students 25 and older to be welcomed to NIC with reception

North Idaho College's Center for New Directions is sponsoring an Adult Student Reception from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25 in the Blue Creek/Echo Bay Room of NIC's Edminster Student Union Building.

The purpose of the Adult Student Reception is to welcome new 25-and-older students to NIC and familiarize them with campus and help them get acquainted with fellow adult students in hopes of alleviating some of their fears about returning to school.

The event supplements the Orientation, Advising and Registration Sessions that were held for all new students throughout the summer.

Adult students who attend the reception will be treated to pizza, pop and cookies while they hear presentations from college officials and currently enrolled adult students who will share their experiences and give tips for success.
