NIC men's soccer team earns first-ever national ranking
The North Idaho College men's soccer team (10-1-3 overall, 4-0-1 SWAC) was ranked in the top 20 in the nation in the NJCAA Division I national soccer poll released Oct. 11. Mercer County Community College in Trenton, N.J. was ranked No. 1, followed by Louisburg College in Louisburg, N.C. and Yavapai College in Prescott, Ariz.
The Cardinals were one of five schools to receive votes for the top 15 in the nation. The other schools receiving votes were Illinois Central, Iowa Western, East Central (Mo.) and Johnson County (Kan.).
NIC will host Salt Lake Community College Saturday, Oct. 15 in a match that will determine the SWAC regular-season title. The teams battled to a 1-1 draw in their previous match played in Salt Lake on Sept. 17.For More Information
