NIC to host third annual All-Star basketball game in April

North Idaho College and the NIC Booster Club have been approved and sanctioned by the Idaho High School Activities Association to host the third annual Idaho High School All-Star Game for both boys and girls basketball April 8.
The game, in doubleheader format, will match teams from Northern Idaho versus Southern Idaho and will be played in NIC’s Christianson Gym in Coeur d’Alene.
Senior players from all classifications will be eligible for selection to the All-Star teams.
The selection committee will again include representatives from the news media throughout the state who will select 12 All-Stars for each of the four teams, with two alternates on each team. All-Star teams for both squads will be determined at the conclusion of the state tournament.
The girls’ game is scheduled for 1 p.m. followed by the boys’ game at 3:30 p.m. A three-point shooting competition and slam dunk contest will be held between games.
