Chicago singer/songwriter to perform at NIC

Chicago singer/songwriter Dave Tamkin will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 20 in the NIC Activities Center, on the lower level of Edminster Student Union Building on North Idaho College’s main campus.
Tamkin performs his own style of rhythmic-acoustic rock. He tours nationally with shows ranging from solo acoustic performances to a full band experience featuring his own lyrics set against a percussive background.
Tamkin recently released “Only Traffic,” an EP containing six of his songs recorded during a two-year project. An extended play or EP, is the name given to CDs which are too long to be called singles, but too short to qualify as albums.
The event is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the Associated Students of NIC Student Events.
