NIC volleyball program signs recruit from Cheney

A Cheney High School athlete recently accepted a scholarship to play for the North Idaho College volleyball team for the 2006-2007 season.
Meghan Cogley lettered in three sports at Cheney High School. She received three varsity letters in volleyball and was voted best offensive player four times. She received the Cheney Free Press Senior Stud of the Year Award and was selected as Blackhawk of the Week five times in volleyball.
She received two varsity letters in basketball as well as all-district honors in 2004. She earned four varsity letters in track and placed seventh at the state competition in 2004. She tied the Cheney High School high jump record set in 1987 with a jump or 5 feet, 6 inches. She was also selected to the all-Greater Spokane League second team, was honored as a scholar athlete and earned the 2003 designation as Greater Spokane League Athlete Jumper of the Year.
She signed to play the middle hitter position at NIC.
