NIC offers summer seminars in the Silver Valley
North Idaho College is offering a series of free “Be Your Best” seminars this summer focused on a variety of personal enrichment topics at the NIC Silver Valley Center in Kellogg.
The seminars will be offered from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday evenings at the NIC Silver Valley Center, located at 323 Main St. in Kellogg.
“What Do Employers Want?” will be offered May 25 and focuses on teaching techniques to help participants market their skills and abilities to employers.
“Getting Out of Your Own Way,” which is focused on eliminating self-defeating behavior, will be offered June 8.
“What Do You Want to Be When You Grow Up?” will be June 15 and will use the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator to help participants make good choices for a first or second career.
“We’re Not Done Yet” will offer participants tips on making the most of the second half of life June 22.
"The Five Love Languages” focuses on the book by marriage expert Gary Chapman and will be offered June 29.
The seminars will be led by the staff of NIC’s Center for New Directions. They are free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
Although the seminars are free, participants are asked to call in advance to help create a headcount for planning.
