NIC students earn scholarships through Business Professionals of America

Two North Idaho College students recently received scholarships through Business Professionals of America (BPA).

Kelsey Bonds, a St. Maries High School graduate now of Post Falls, earned $500 from the 2006 Tomorrow’s Business Professional Scholarship Program. She is transferring to the University of Idaho to pursue a degree in psychology.

Morgan Purvis, a St. Maries High School graduate now of Rathdrum, was awarded the Sherrell Wheeler Scholarship for $500. She plans to transfer to the University of Idaho to pursue a degree in education.

The scholarships were presented during the 2006 BPA National Leadership Conference last month in Orlando, Fla. Both scholarships were established by the BPA national officers to recognize outstanding members that have exemplified the values of the organization: leadership, service and involvement.
