NIC coaching staff and players offer summer softball camp

Room is still available for area youths to sign up for the North Idaho College’s Cardinal Heat pitching and position play skills camp July 24-27 at Franklin Park, located just east of Rowan and Division in northern Spokane.
NIC’s softball coaching staff and players will lead the camp, which is divided into two heats, one specifically for pitching skills and the other a position play/offensive heat camp.
Both heats will be offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the duration of the four-day camp.

Players participating in the position play/offensive heat camp will receive instruction on infield skills, outfield skills, catching, hitting, short game and base running.
Campers will have the opportunity to practice the skills they learned in camp byparticipating in controlled practice games. An All-Star team will be announced on the last day of camp and the team will scrimmage the camp staff for three innings.
Cost is $200 for the pitchers heat camp and $150 for the position play/offensive heat camp. Space is limited.
