Recap of Sept. 17 men's soccer game at Laramie: Bork adds two more in win over Laramie

Jared Bork scored his fourth and fifth goals of the season on Sunday to give the Cardinals a 2-0 win over Laramie County Community College. Bork scored his first goal of the match on a penalty kick after freshman midfielder Mark Lee was taken down in the penalty area in the 23rd minute. Lee made a great effort to beat two Laramie defenders and was around the third when he was knocked down.  NIC's second goal came in the second half when sophomore midfielder John Prugh started the play with a service into the box that forward David Powers collected and slid to Bork for an open-net finish.
NIC returns home this weekend for two nonconference matches. The Cardinals play Northwest Christian College (NAIA) at noon Saturday, Sept. 23 and Walla Walla Community College (NWAACC) at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24.
