NIC women's basketball team participates in Race for the Cure

|photo1|The North Idaho College women's basketball team recently participated in the seventh annual Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Race for the Cure race in Coeur d'Alene. The team was sponsored by The Pita Pit, located on Sherman Avenue in downtown Coeur d'Alene.
This series is the largest series of 5K runs/fitness walks in the world. The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation was established in 1982 by Nancy Brinker to honor the memory of her sister, Susan G. Komen, who died of breast cancer at the age of 36. The foundation has laid the groundwork for some of today’s most promising breast cancer treatments.
