NIC basketball kicks off season with midnight festivities

North Idaho College’s men’s and women’s basketball teams will kick off their seasons with Midnight Madness, a special event to commemorate the first official day of basketball practice across the nation for junior colleges.
NIC’s basketball teams will open their first official practice to the public from midnight to 1 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 1 (or Saturday evening). The event will feature a 50-50 raffle, a women’s basketball three-point shootout, inter-squad scrimmages, a men’s dunk contest and various giveaways.
This is the first chance to see this year’s Cardinal men’s and women’s basketball teams.
All events are free and open to the public and will be held in NIC’s Christianson Gym.
