Recap of men's soccer game versus Colorado Mountain College Oct. 1: Cardinals score 10 goals

NIC netted 10 goals this past weekend and only surrendered one in a two-game road trip to Glenwood Springs, Colo. The Cardinals got off to a strong start on Friday against Colorado Mountain College turning a 4-0 halftime lead into a 5-0 win.
Saturday’s match against Cloud County Community College of Kansas saw the Cardinals jump out to another 4-0 halftime lead that ended up in a 5-1 win.
Redshirt freshman Jared Bork scored two goals in each match to raise his team-leading total to 11 goals and freshman goalkeepers Seth Baker and Bob Verschoor held NIC’s opponents to one goal.
The Cardinals are now 7-2-1 on the season.
