|photo1|North Idaho College’s Idaho Small Business Development Center (ISBDC) recently hired a new business coach to assist small business owners in Bonner and Boundary counties.
Joel Risch holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies from Humboldt State University in Arcata, Calif. As an entrepreneur, he started three businesses throughout his career.
He most recently served as the president and CEO of Amulet Manufacturing Company, a company he founded in 1984 in Arcata. Risch grew Amulet into one of a handful of nationally-recognized construction equipment attachment manufacturers. The company, which serves both domestic and international markets, has 30 employees and sales exceeding $3 million per year.
Risch will carry out the ISBDC’s mission to help small businesses in Bonner and Boundary counties thrive and grow. He will provide entrepreneurs with no-cost, confidential business coaching to help them improve their businesses in the areas of productivity, gaining access to new markets and maximizing profitability. Risch will also assist entrepreneurs in starting businesses, commercializing ideas and concepts, raising funds and buying or selling businesses.
To set up an appointment with Risch, call (208) 666-8009.
