NIC Nursing Department to hold admissions information sessions
Pre-nursing students interested in applying for admission to either the registered nursing or practical nursing programs at North Idaho College are encouraged to attend one of several information sessions held this fall.
The sessions will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6; at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8; noon Thursday, Nov. 16; 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8 and at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19 in Meyer Health and Sciences Building Room 106, on NIC’s main campus.
NIC Nursing Department staff and faculty will hand out admission packets and explain some of the requirements for those eligible to apply.
Applications for the North Idaho College practical nursing or registered nursing programs will also be available in the NIC Admissions Office, located in Lee-Kildow Hall.
Both programs have selective admissions processes. To be admitted to the nursing programs, applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and must have completed several prerequisite courses. Applicants must reach minimum grades of C or 2.0 in the nursing program curriculum.
The NIC Admissions Office will determine if previous college prerequisites will be accepted for transfer.
The deadline for application is Feb. 9, 2007.
