NIC Center for New Directions offers ‘Reinventing Your Life' seminars
The North Idaho College Center for New Directions is offering a series of free “Reinventing Your Life” seminars this fall focused on a variety of personal enrichment topics. The seminars will be offered from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursdays in Siebert Building Room 111 on NIC’s main campus.
“Getting Out of Your Own Way” will be offered Nov. 9 and focuses on eliminating self-defeating behavior used as a coping mechanism that creates obstacles in life.
“Bad Childhood—Good Life,” which is focused on letting go of a bad history, will be offered Nov. 16.
“Dealing with Difficult People” will be Nov. 30 and will give practical tips and insights on how to handle difficult people in the workplace, at home or in other settings.
“The Five Love Languages” Dec. 7 focuses on the book by marriage expert Gary
Chapman about how to better communicate in various personal relationships.
The seminars will be led by NIC Center for New Directions licensed professional counselors Carol Haught and Sarah Johnson. They are free and open to the public.
Although the seminars are free, participants are asked to call in advance to help create a headcount for planning and handouts.
