NIC student receives nursing scholarship

North Idaho College second-year registered nursing student Rachel Wickham of Harrison, Idaho was recently awarded a $600 Min West Scholarship.
The scholarship was created in 1983 by the Community United Methodist Church in honor of Reverend Elmer and Minnie West, who were supporters of education.
Robert West, a retired Coeur d’Alene area general surgeon and the son of Elmer and Minnie, presented the scholarship.
The award is $500 plus an additional $100 for books for a total of $600.
Wickham plans to graduate from NIC this May with an associate’s degree in nursing.
