NIC volleyball players earn honors following national tournament

Several North Idaho College volleyball players earned honors following the recent National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I volleyball tournament in West Plains, Mo. The NIC volleyball team placed fourth in the nation, the Cardinals best finish at the national tournament in the college’s history.
Cintia Alessi of Curitiba, Brazil was selected to the NJCAA Division I All-American first team.
Lauren Stern of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho was honored as an NJCAA Division I All-American honorable mention and was named to the All-Tournament team.
Amanda Misa of Waipahie, Hawaii was named to the All-Tournament team.
NIC Head Volleyball Coach Bret Taylor was named NJCAA District O Coach of the Year and Tachikara American Volleyball Coaches Association West Region Coach of the Year.
