NIC softball players, coaches to lead hitting and pitching clinics

The North Idaho College softball coaching staff and players will host a variety of clinics in January.
Three separate three-session hitting clinics will be offered at the NIC Hitting Facility, located at Walnut and Seventh streets in Coeur d’Alene. The in-depth hitting clinics are open to youths ages 8-18 and will be progressive in instruction, building on the previous session’s lessons.
Two Thursday clinics will be offered from 6 to 7 p.m. and from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. Thursdays Jan. 11, 18 and 25. Cost for either of these clinics is $35 for all three sessions.
Another hitting clinic will be offered from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturdays Jan. 13, 20 and 27 for $60.
The NIC softball coaching staff and players will also host a softball pitching clinic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6 at Lake City High School in Coeur d’Alene.
The in-depth pitching clinic is open to youths ages 8 to 18. The clinic will cover pitching mechanics, breaking and off speed pitches, how to identify pitching problems and what it takes mentally to be a great pitcher.
Participants must bring their own adult catcher for the clinic. Cost is $80.
Enrollment is limited for all clinics to ensure quality instruction.
