North Idaho College is seeking volunteers to serve on the NIC presidential search advisory committee. The committee will comprise 22 members, 11 of which will be representatives from the community.
The NIC presidential search advisory committee is forming to replace current NIC president Michael Burke, who resigned Jan. 2 after accepting a position as president of San Jose City College in San Jose, Calif.
Search advisory committee members should expect to convene by next month and should plan on contributing substantial time and energy to the search process over the next several months.
Volunteers and nominations will be reviewed by the NIC Board of Trustees, who will select the search advisory committee members from the pool of nominees. Those making nominations must ensure that they have the approval of the nominee. Volunteers selected to the committee will be notified by the NIC Board of Trustees.
To volunteer or to nominate a potential search advisory committee member, send a one paragraph biographical statement and contact information to NIC Vice President for Community Relations Kent Propst at firstname.lastname@example.org or Kent Propst, North Idaho College, 1000 W. Garden Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814. Questions can be directed to Propst at (208) 769-3316, but nominations will not be accepted by telephone.
Volunteer submissions and nominations are due by 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25.
