North Idaho College will showcase its new Radiography Technology program during an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1 in the Meyer Health and Sciences Building Room 122.
The Idaho State Board of Education approved the curriculum for the program in 2005 and facility and equipment needs were filled through the Providing Opportunities—Fulfilling Dreams Community Campaign. The program is in its first semester with 10 students currently enrolled.
Graduates of the five-semester, limited enrollment program become technicians that work in a variety of health care settings, using x-rays, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasounds and computerized tomography to capture and reproducing images of the human body for diagnostic and treatment purposes.
The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be available.
Parking permits will not be required the day of the event.
