NIC music department to present faculty recital

The North Idaho College music department will present its Faculty Music Recital at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25 in Boswell Hall Schuler Auditorium.
NIC music instructors will perform a variety of pieces including the Aaron Copland pieces “Variations on a Shaker Melody” from Appalachian Spring and “Hoe Down” from Rodeo, Mozart’s “Oboe Concerto, Rondo Movement” and the Henri Vieuxtemps piece “Souvenir d’Amerique.”
The recital will showcase the various talents of the NIC music department, including featured performers Jill Cathey on oboe, David Demand on piano, Paul Grove on guitar, Kevin Hekmatpanah on cello, Ann Paul on piano, Max Mendez with vocals, Debra O’Dell on piano, Jim Phillips on trumpet, Rhonda Bradetich on flute and Gerard Mathes on fiddle. NIC Vice President for Instruction Barbara Hanson will provide vocals and NIC Carpentry Instructor Dave McRae will be featured on guitar and harmonica. In addition, students Austin Little will play banjo and Eileen Ickes will play bass.
The recital is free and open to the public.
