Stroke-Causes, Treatment, and Warning Signs

Stroke is the third leading cause of death in the United States and the major cause of adult disability. A Stroke, or brain attack, cuts off vital supplies of blood and oxygen to the brain cells that control everything we do. New research confirms that early warning signs can predict the onset of a stroke and that the hours immediately following a stroke are crucial to recovery.
The speaker is Dr. Madeline Geraghty, Rockwood Clinic Neurology/Medical Director.
The talk is in room 106 of the Meyer Health and Sciences Building on the main NIC campus in Coeur d’Alene.
