Same Time, Next Year has been tremendously successful as a Broadway play and a film. The romantic comedy follows an unusual love affair between George and Doris, who meet once a year for twenty-five years. Set against the backdrop of the changes in American life between the 1950’s – 70’s, George and Doris’s warm and humorous journey mirrors moments from our own lives. In many ways, this is the story of two people growing up into and discovering their true selves. Come join us and share in the laughter and maybe a few tears.
George and Doris are played by NIC student Cameron Dwyer and former NIC student Julianne Edwards. Julianne was last seen in our winter production, The Diviners. Cameron is active with the NIC Improv club and is a talented DJ. The show is directed by NIC Theatre Director Joe Jacoby.
The menu includes Half Moon Bay Salad and Sausalito Sirloin steak (with a vegetarian option of Portabella mushroom), as well as dessert and beverages.
The play is intended for mature audiences due to adult language and themes.
